Sean Lee-Davies’ TV series "Adventures to the Edge 2" sounds the alarm in Hong Kong and across Asia about the environmental crisis facing the world. With the planet losing half its wildlife in the last 40 years and the real possibility that all ocean life will become extinct by 2048, there is no time to lose. The time for change is now. It is our honor to take part in the press conference of the sequel.
Our school’s frequent participation in environmental and conservation activities has been greatly recognized by TVB. H.O.A., our A cappella team was invited to attend the press conference of “Adventures to the Edge 2" on September 5, 2016. H.O.A. sang the song “All Things Bright and Beautiful” to proclaim environmental messages.
Through dialogues with host and media friends, the environment issue was emphasized. Ms. McCafferey, the Utan Eco-expert encouraged young people to spread its importance through social media, voluntary work and making donation to related organizations. Ms. Watson, a dolphin Eco-expert reminded the important 4Rs ─ Reduce, Recycle, Reuse and Replace. Reduce plastic bags in our daily lives, use Recycled paper and etc. The conference brought new insights to our students realizing immediate action should be taken in order to save our world. It was truly an amazing chance to develop an informal and environmental participation in the press conference.
