In order to foster the educational exchanges and co-operation between the Mainland and Hong Kong, 17 teachers attended an exchange activity to Guangzhou on 29th and 30th March. On the first day, our teachers visited one of our sister schools, The Affiliated Foreign Language School of South China Normal University. The school arranged us to observe English and Science lessons, which provided teachers with a better understanding on the active learning environment and small-class teaching in Mainland China. After the lesson, teachers from two places also shared valuable ideas on their teaching pedagogies.
On the second day, our teachers had the chance to take the newly established Guangzhou Metro and visited Canton Tower as well as Guangzhou Library. Moreover, they enjoyed a palatable lunch in a local famous restaurant. In short, the exchange activity has greatly enhanced teachers’ learning and teaching techniques.
