S6 Graduation Ceremony ¡V Gratefulness . Pioneering a new journey
Date: 26 May 2021
To our S6 students, today is the big day because it is the Speech Day. However, graduation is not an end, instead, it is just a beginning of a new chapter in their lives. This year, the graduates designed a picture with a yacht representing our school. The sails conveyed the message ¡§Rectify Mind Cultivate Person¡¨ and ¡§Excellence with Love¡¨. Our graduates, under the guidance of our school, start a new adventure to the future. On the picture, you can find a famous quote from Henry Brooks Adams ¡§A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.¡¨ Also, all graduates signed on the picture to show their gratitude towards our school. To remember all these, student representatives S6B Lo Hoi Yan and S6A Sze Chun Pong recorded a video to express their thanks to the school.
Apart from this, the graduates use the design to make bookmarks and present them to every teacher to represent their thankfulness to the devotion of the teachers.
The love between Lutheranians is never ended in their secondary school lives; it will last for their lifetime.

Music Project
Date: 15 May 2021
Students¡¦ desire to learn and have music practice has not stopped despite the pandemic. The school¡¦s a cappella teams, show choir and treble choir collaborated to film a music video of a medley (When I Grow Up, Why we Sing and Proud of you §ÚªºÅº¶Æ) with a view to giving people positive energy in the middle of the pandemic.
The lyrics of ¡§Proud of you¡¨ §ÚªºÅº¶Æ was written by 2E Cheung Man Ching, the champion of the lyrics contest, to praise God for his love and sovereignty.
The shooting was a great success under the help and guidance of our school¡¦s teachers, tutors from Arts Friday and alumni.

Recognition Ceremony for Outstanding Students
Date: 14 May 2021
The Recognition Ceremony for Outstanding Students was successfully held on May 14 to honor and celebrate the outstanding achievement of the top three students in each class. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students from S1 to S5 and their parents were allocated to different venues including the school hall, mini theatre and library to enjoy the sharing of our principal, Mr. Wan and outstanding students through live broadcast. Students were awarded certificates of recognition from our principal.

Using the example of ¡§snapping the mosquitoes¡¨, our principal illustrated the idea that ¡§learning can take place anywhere¡¨. Through the introduction of a movie, he also brought out the notion that the best children are those who love and enjoy learning. Students, thus, should not be restricted by examination scores and rankings. Indeed, they should learn actively, surpass themselves, and make continuous improvement.

Yeung Cho Yiu from class 4D and Ngan Ka Ki from class 5E shared their interpretation of the word ¡§Excellence¡¨ and talked about how they strive for learning opportunities during the pandemic. While Ngan Ka Ki shared her experience in creating a people-oriented design plan, which won the OTIS "Made to Move Communities" Academic Challenge in the Asia-Pacific region, Yeung Cho Yiu talked about her journey of publishing her first novel "Traveller" in Amazon Books. Teachers, students and parents were moved by their sincerity, and felt their love and passion in learning.

An excellent person is someone who is determined and would constantly challenge oneself. With the love and support from parents and teachers, Lutheranians will be able to make success and lead a prosperous life.

¡§Support for EM¡¨ Buddy Program
Date: 8 May 2021
On 8th May 2021, the members of ¡§Support for EM¡¨ Buddy Program visited Pak Heung Central Primary School and interacted with the ethnic minority buddies again. Through presentations, group teaching and games, the primary school students got to know more about secondary school life and local food culture.
Trying to see the needs from the recipients¡¦ perspective and cater to them, Lutheranians¡¦ empathy has been nurtured. Before the visit, our students were aware that the ethnic minority buddies are curious about the school life in local secondary schools, thus prepared a presentation about our House System and Global Classroom. Our buddies were attentive and expressed that they looked forward to visiting our school campus next month.
The theme of the day was Local Food Culture. Utilizing the learning materials and games they had prepared, Lutheranians taught their buddies to order the items in Cantonese. Everyone enjoyed the activities.

¡§A Night at the Louvre: Leonardo da Vinci¡¨ Documentary-watching Session
Date: 6 May 2021
A group of S2 History and Visual Arts students attended the ¡§A Night at the Louvre: Leonardo da Vinci¡¨ documentary-watching session on 6th May, 2021 at YOHO Cinema in Yuen Long. The activity was held jointly by the History Department and the Visual Arts Department. In the activity, students learned to appreciate the art and sciences promoted by Leonardo da Vinci, and to comprehend the great legacy he left behind for the modern world.
With the professional narrative of two commentators in the documentary, students could understand da Vinci¡¦s meticulous and creative painting techniques. Da Vinci¡¦s ideals helped found artistic ¡§realism¡¨ ¡V he pioneered in depicting human bodies as realistically as possible by studying human anatomy. His works not only influenced modern painters, but also showed how science and visual arts can go hand-in-hand.
Through documentaries, students can understand History more accurately. Moving pictures also help stimulate students¡¦ minds and make the learning process more interesting. History cannot only be learnt through textbooks and words, but also through different media such as paintings, movies and documentaries. With a much more in-depth understanding of the Renaissance, students can better appreciate the greatness of historical figures and their actions. Students are also encouraged to seek how history can relate to their daily lives. It is important for students to learn and appreciate how historical human efforts have created the world we know today.
